The Education of Dr. Gail Weingast Helps Patients

Following her medical degree, which she received from the Boston University School of Medicine in 1976, the newly christened Dr. Gail Weingast knew she had a lot more learning to do. That is why she completed a pediatrics internship from 1976-1977 and a residency in pediatrics over the next two years, after which she also completed a residency in the field of radiology from 1980 to 1983 and a fellowship in the field of ultrasound in 1983, all at Colorado General Hospital in Denver. Dr. Gail Weingast then finally completed her post-graduate studies as a radiologist from 1983 to 1984 at St. Anthony’s Hospital, also in Denver.

Soon after those various learning experiences, Dr. Gail Weingast worked at several other hospitals, primarily in the state of Colorado, although she also worked in New York for a bit. Eventually, she settled into her current position, as a radiology professional at William W. Backus Hospital in Norwich, Connecticut. She has now been there for more than two decades, where she has guided her department into its current position as one of the premiere medical facilities in New England.
